A power supply apparatus of a vehicle includes: auxiliary machines such as air conditioner (240) electrically connected between a battery (150) and a converter (200) and driven by means of electric power supplied from the battery (150); and a control device (500) controlling inverters (210, 220) and the like based on a required vehicle power including a required charge discharge amount of the battery (150). The control device (500) has a continuous voltage step-up mode in which the converter (200) is continuously operated and an intermittent voltage step-up mode in which the converter (200) is intermittently operated. In the continuous voltage step-up mode, the control device (500) calculates the required charge discharge amount based on electric power supplied from the battery (150). In the intermittent voltage step-up mode, the control device (500) changes a method of calculating the required charge discharge amount to a method that calculates the required charge discharge amount based on electric power passing through the converter (200), and makes the required charge discharge amount smaller than the required charge discharge amount in the continuous voltage step-up mode.
