A power supply device and a display system comprising the same are disclosed. According to the present invention, the power supply device comprises: a first power supply unit, which is disposed so as to be spaced apart from a display device and supplies power to the display device, wherein the power is supplied to the display device through a cable in a wired manner; a second power supply unit for supplying power to the display device in a wireless manner; a detection unit for detecting whether the power supply device is connected to the display device through the cable; and a processor for controlling the second power supply unit in a state in which the power supply device is disconnected from the display device, such that power is supplied in the wireless manner, and controlling the first power supply unit when it is detected that the power supply device is connected to the display device, such that power is supplied in the wired manner.
