Title:
POWER TRANSMISSION COIL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/118482
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a power transmission coil that can suppress the effects when the dimensions of the coil bodies are incorrect, and the positions of both coils are offset. There are a first planar coil having an inner diameter (Di) and a second planar coil that is placed opposite the first planar coil and has an outer diameter (Do). The value of the outer diameter (Do) of the second planar coil divided by the inner diameter (Di) of the first planar coil is the outer-to-inner diameter ratio (Do/Di). The rate of change of the coupling coefficient between the first planar coil and the second planar coil is the rate of change (Δk) of the coupling coefficient. In the correlation relationship between the outer-to-inner diameter ratio (Do/Di) and the rate of change (Δk) of the coupling coefficient, the inner diameter (Di) of the first planar coil and the outer diameter (Do) of the second planar coil are determined to be less than the value of the outer-to-inner diameter ratio (Do/Di) when the gradient of the correlation relationship is rapidly increasing.
