Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable positioning a transfer output shaft at substantially the center in a vehicle-width direction to prevent a propeller shaft from being unlocatable in a floor tunnel. Provided is a power transmission device for a four-wheel drive electric vehicle, wherein a gear case (4) comprises a front differential (5) to which left and right front drive shafts (20L, 20R) for left and right front wheels (6L, 6R) are coupled. A transfer (7) comprises: a transfer input shaft (71) coupled to a differential case (5a) of the front differential (5); a transfer parallel shaft (73) coupled to the transfer input shaft (71) through a transfer gear train (75); and a transfer output shaft (74) which is coupled to the transfer parallel shaft (73) through a bevel gear pair (76) and to which a first rear propeller shaft (21) for left and right rear wheels (10L, 10R) is coupled. A pinion gear (76b), which is provided to the transfer output shaft (74), of the bevel gear pair (76) is disposed at a position in which the pinion gear (76b) overlaps the gear case (4) in the vehicle-width direction.
