Abstract:
This power transmission device wirelessly transmits power to a power reception device provided with a power receiving coil. The power transmission device is provided with an inverter circuit; a power transmitting coil connected to the inverter circuit; and a control circuit for controlling the output voltage of the inverter circuit. The control circuit calculates a mutual inductance Lm at a prescribed positional relationship between the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil on the basis of: an AC resistance value of the power receiving coil estimated or calculated from the distance between the power transmitting coil and the power receiving coil; an input impedance of the power transmitting coil; and an AC resistance value of the power transmitting coil. The output voltage of the impedance circuit is determined thereby.
