Abstract:
Provided is a power transmission device, which starts an engine quickly and is capable of further improving responsiveness even when the acceleration operation is performed in an assisted start range. During vehicle deceleration when the supply of fuel to the engine is stopped, the assisted start range is an engine rotation speed range that is lower than the self-start rotation speed at which the engine can be started if fuel supply is resumed but higher than the starter-start rotation speed at which the engine does not start when fuel supply is resumed but the engine can be started using the starter. The power transmission device is equipped with an assist control means (G), which, when the engine is in the assisted start range, is able, on the condition that a vehicle acceleration operation is made, to increase the engine rotation speed above the self-start rotation speed by operating a clutch means (3) and switching to a second power transmission system.
