Abstract:
A power transmitting apparatus (10) is provided with: a transmitting antenna (12) that can be magnetically coupled with a receiving antenna (22); a signal generating means (11) that generates alternating current power at a predetermined resonance frequency; a power amplifying means (13) that amplifies the alternating current power thus generated; a reflected power detecting means (15) that detects reflected power transmitted from the transmitting antenna; path selecting means (SW1, SW2), which select (i) a first path wherein the signal generating means and the transmitting antenna are electrically connected to each other via the power amplifying means or (ii) a second path wherein the signal generating means and the transmitting antenna are electrically connected to each other not via the power amplifying means, and the transmitting antenna and the reflected power detecting means are electrically connected to each other; and a control means (16) that controls the path selecting means such that the first path and the second path are alternately selected, under the condition that it is determined, on the basis of the detected reflected power, that the transmitting antenna is magnetically coupled with the receiving antenna.
