Abstract:
A technique which can minimize an increase in the size of a power transmitting device is provided. A changeover shaft for selecting the state of operation of the operation mechanism of a power transmitting device is caused to protrude from a containing portion for containing at least a part of a rotating member. An electric actuator for moving the changeover shaft is disposed at a position separated from a portion of the surface of the containing portion, the portion being that from which the changeover shaft protrudes. In a view of the power transmitting device seen in the axial direction of the rotating shaft of the rotating member, at least a portion of the electric actuator is disposed closer to a case than a vertical line passing through the portion from which the changeover shaft protrudes. In a view of the power transmitting device seen in the axial direction of the changeover shaft, at least a portion of the electric actuator is disposed so as to be superposed on the containing portion of the case.
