Abstract:
In order to reduce the size of a brake mechanism without impairing the cooling effect thereof, a power transmitting device comprises: a spindle case (20) which has a brake chamber (B); and a wheel hub (30) which has a final chamber (F) connecting to the brake chamber (B) through the center hole (21a) of the spindle case (20). The spindle case (20) is provided with a through-hole (22a) which connects the brake chamber (B) to the final chamber (F) of the wheel hub (30). When an axle shaft (1) is rotating, oil in the brake chamber (B) is supplied to the inside of the final chamber (F) through the through-hole (22a) by the effect of centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the brake mechanism (80).
