Abstract:
A power transmitting apparatus (100) transmits power in the wireless manner to a power receiving apparatus (200), which rectifies a voltage by a rectifying circuit (61), said voltage having been received by a power receiving unit (40), and which supplies the rectified voltage to a load circuit (220). The power transmitting apparatus (100) is provided with: a power transmitting unit (30), which is capacitively coupled to or electromagnetically coupled to the power receiving unit (40) of the power receiving apparatus (200), and which transmits power to the power receiving unit (40); a power supply unit (54), which generates power to be transmitted to the power receiving apparatus (200), and which supplies the power to the power transmitting unit (30); a load impedance detecting unit that detects the load impedance of the power receiving apparatus on the basis of electric signals detected in the power transmitting apparatus (100); and a control unit that controls, on the basis of detection results obtained from the load impedance detecting unit, power to be generated by the power supply unit (54) such that the output voltage of the rectifying circuit (61) of the power receiving apparatus (200) is a predetermined voltage or less.
