Abstract:
The present invention discloses a precoding method and device. The method comprises: outputting an approximation channel h at a terminal; assessing each codebook vector in a codebook according to the approximation channel h, wherein the codebook is a codebook known to both a base station and the terminal; and feeding the codebook vectors back to the base station according to the assessment result. The base station side receives the codebook vectors fed back by the terminal, and said codebook vectors are obtained from assessing, by a terminal, codebook vectors in a codebook according to an approximation channel h. A precoding matrix in the analog domain is formed by the codebook vectors, and an equivalent channel is acquired according to the precoding matrix in the analog domain. By employing the present invention, a terminal can dynamically adjust the number of fed-back codebook vectors, and adapt to base stations having different numbers of digital channels, thus fully utilizing all digital channel resources. In addition, precision of analog and digital precoding during processing of analog-digital two-stage precoding can be improved, and the cost of channel feedback is reduced.
