Abstract:
Disclosed are a prediction coding and decoding method and apparatus for point cloud attribute information. The coding method comprises: obtaining original point cloud data; establishing an adaptive prediction list of point cloud attribute information; selecting a prediction mode from the adaptive prediction list and predicting the attribute information of the point cloud to obtain a prediction residual; and encoding the prediction mode and the prediction residual to obtain code stream information. According to the present invention, a self-adaptive updating point cloud attribute information prediction list is established, and the optimal prediction mode is selected from the list to predict the attribute information of the point cloud, so that the problem of discontinuous point cloud attribute information caused by the discontinuity of the actual scene is solved, thereby remarkably reducing the prediction residual of the attribute information and the occurrence frequency of a discretion value and a jump value, and improving the prediction precision and the coding efficiency of the attribute information.
