Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to start a defrost operation at timing that corresponds to frosting. According to the present invention, a prediction device outputs information that controls the start timing of a defrost operation that is to be performed by a refrigerator on a heat exchanger. The refrigerator has a refrigerant circuit in which a refrigerant circulates through a compressor, a radiator, an expansion valve, and a heat sink that are connected in a ring, and the heat exchanger functions as the heat sink of the refrigerator. When a trained model has been generated on the basis of training data obtained by using clustering to sort a record of past operating data for the refrigerator into a plurality of groups and adding data that indicates whether the heat exchanger frosted to each of the groups, a control unit of the prediction device inputs current operating data for the refrigerator into the trained model and outputs information that indicates whether the heat exchanger has frosted as predicted by the trained model.
