Abstract:
Provided are a prediction method and device based on template matching. The prediction method comprises: on the basis of a current template, separately performing match-searching in at least two reference images of a unit to be processed, so as to obtain, from each match-searching operation, a group of motion information, a unidirectional matching template, and a unidirectional template distortion value corresponding to a reference image, wherein the current template comprises a preset number of reconstructed pixels at preset positions in a neighborhood of the unit to be processed, and the unidirectional template distortion value represents a difference between the unidirectional matching template and the current template; determining motion information corresponding to a minimum unidirectional template distortion value of the obtained unidirectional template distortion values as target motion information of the unit to be processed; and establishing, according to the target motion information, a prediction value of the unit to be processed.
