Title:
PREDICTION OF RISK OF ONSET OF DRUG-INDUCED PULMONARY DISORDERS, AND METHOD AND KIT FOR DETECTION OF GENE FOR THE PREDICTION OF THE RISK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/155531
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed are: a method for detecting the presence or absence of a single nucleotide polymorphism of a gene for the purpose of predicting the risk of onset of drug-induced pulmonary disorders or improving a therapeutic method for drug-induced pulmonary disorders; and a kit for achieving the method. The method is characterized by comparing an ABCB1 gene in a biological sample with a wild-type ABCB1 gene to detect the presence or absence of a single nucleotide polymorphism in the ABCB1 gene in the biological sample, particularly determining the nucleotide at position-3751 in a CDS in ABCB1 gene. The kit comprises an oligonucleotide probe capable of binding specifically to a single nucleotide polymorphism of ABCB1 gene under selective binding conditions or an oligonucleotide primer capable of amplifying a nucleic acid sequence that contains a single nucleotide polymorphism of ABCB1 gene.
