Description

A PREFAB BLOCKFORUSE MUCH

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a multi-purpose sectional block, and more particularly, to a sectional block which is easy in assembly and provides excellent durability, thereby being applicable for interior of a building or for armoring of the building. Background Art

[2] Sectional blocks are construction materials capable of being widely used as the interior and exterior materials for a building since a user can construct the building in such a way as to simply layer the sectional blocks one another.

[3] In general, the sectional block includes a number of coupling protrusions and coupling recesses respectively formed on the upper and lower portions thereof, and is coupled with another sectional block by forcedly fitting the coupling protrusions and the coupling recesses of one sectional block with the coupling protrusions and the coupling recesses of another sectional block. Alternatively, the sectional block includes a number of assembly holes vertically drilled in the block, and is laid and fixed on another sectional block in such a way that supports such as reinforcing rods are respectively inserted into the assembly holes.

[4] However, such conventional sectional blocks have several problems, and so, are used very restrictedly.

[5] That is, the sectional block which is laid on another block by coupling of the coupling protrusions and the coupling recesses provides excellent assembly efficiency, but has several disadvantages in that the coupling protrusions are exposed to the outside in a completely assembled state, and in that its durability is weak and so the sectional block is mainly used for interior or for a children's toy.

[6] Furthermore, the sectional block which is laid on another block by inserting the supports such as the reinforcing rods into the assembly holes vertically drilled in the sectional block has durability stronger than the former sectional block assembled with another block by the coupling of the coupling protrusions and the coupling recesses, but has a disadvantage in that it is difficult in practical use since the block must be downwardly fit onto the support from the upper portion of the support, and so assem- blability is degraded.

[7]

Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[8] Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems occurring in the conventional sectional blocks.

[9] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a multi-purpose sectional block which is fixedly laid on another block in a bolt-coupling way, differently from the conventional sectional blocks of various forms.

[10] Another object of the present invention is to provide a multi-purpose sectional block which has a slide recess formed between laid blocks, thereby allowing a user to simply assemble a shelf for putting articles thereon, such as a veneer board, by forcedly fitting the veneer board into the slide recesses of the sectional blocks vertically standing in two rows.

[H]

Advantageous Effects

[12] The sectional block according to the present invention may be made of wood, synthetic resin, ceramic, cement mortar and so on, and provide excellent assembly efficiency and durability, thereby being applicable for armoring of a building, for interior of the building, and for sectionals such as a simple frame shelf, a decorative cabinet, a table and so on according to use purposes without restriction.

[13]

Brief Description of the Drawings

[14] FlG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[15] FlG. 2 is a sectional view showing an assembled state of the present invention.

[16] FlG. 3 is a front view showing an example of a shelf made using the present invention.

[17]

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[18] FlG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention,

FlG. 2 is a sectional view showing an assembled state of the present invention, and FlG. 3 is a front view showing an example of a shelf made using the present invention. Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

[19] A sectional block 1 according to the present invention can simultaneously provide assembly efficiency and durability, and be used in various ways according to use purposes since a block 2 is made of one selected from wood, synthetic resin, ceramic, cement mortar and so on.

[20] As shown in the drawings, the sectional block 1 according to the present invention includes the block 2 and bolts 3 for assembling and fixing the block 2 which is laid on another block 2.

[21] In the same way as the conventional block, the ratio of the width to the length of the block 2 is 1:2 when seen from a plane, and the block 2 includes two fixing holes 4 symmetrically formed along the central line thereof. Each fixing hole 4 includes a hole 4a drilled in the lower portion thereof for inserting a threaded bar 3a of a bolt 3 thereto, a bolt insertion hole 4b formed in the upper portion of the hole 4a for inserting and coupling a bolt head 3b thereto in such a way as for the bolt head 3b to be depressed inside the block 2, and a tool insertion hole 4c formed on the upper portion of the bolt insertion hole 4b. The tool insertion hole 4c is larger than the bolt insertion hole 4b for allowing a user to manipulate the bolt head 3b with a tool after inserting the bolt 3 and the tool into the fixing hole 4. At this time, an interval between the bolt insertion hole 4b and the bolt head 3b is minimized.

[22] The block 2 further includes a recess part 2a formed on the edge thereof, when seen from the front side. The recess part 2a is to provide a beautiful outward appearance when the block is laid on another block 2, and is used for forcedly fitting a support plate 5 such as a veneer board into the recess part 2a as shown in FIG. 3 when a shelf is made using the blocks 2 of the present invention. The recess part 2a is formed at one selected from the lower side, the right side and the left side of the block 2. The block 2 has different heights according to the use purposes.

[23] Meanwhile, the bolt 3 coupled with the fixing hole 4 of the block 2 includes a threaded hole 3c axially perforated in the bolt head 3b, and the threaded hole 3c is screwed with a threaded bar 3a of a bolt 3 inserted into the fixing hole 4 of another block 2 laid on the former block 2.

[24] In FIGS. 1 to 3, the unexplained reference numeral 6 designates a base frame fixed or grounded on the floor of a building. The base frame 6 includes a number of screw holes formed therein at regular intervals for screwing the threaded bar 3a of the bolt 3 for assembling and fixing the blocks 2.

[25] The multi-purpose sectional block 1 having the above structure can be used for armoring of a building, for interior of the building, and for sectionals such as a simple frame shelf, a decorative cabinet, a table and so on. Hereinafter, the operation of the present invention will be described.

[26] In the multi-purpose sectional block 1 according to the present invention, two neighboring blocks 2 which are in touch with each other are laid on the upper surface of anther block 2 which is located on the lower surfaces of the two neighboring blocks 2. According to the present invention, each block 2 which is laid on another block 2 is fixed by the bolt 3 inserted into the fixing hole 4 formed in the block 2, and so, the present invention provides an improved durability.

[27] Furthermore, the tool insertion hole 4c of the fixing hole 4 formed on the upper portion of the bolt insertion hole 4b is larger than the bolt insertion hole 4b, so that the

user can firmly fix the bolt 3 to the block 2 using the tool without exposing the bolt 3 above the surface of the block 2. In a coupled state of the bolt 3 and the block 2, since the interval formed between the bolt head 3b and the bolt insertion hole 4b is minimized, the present invention can minimize shake of the bolt 3, thereby providing a stable assembled state.

[28] The multi-purpose sectional block 1 according to the present invention can be used in various ways according to its materials. The sectional block 1 made of wood or plastic is applicable for interior such as a partition or for sectionals such as a shelf, a decorative cabinet and a table, and the sectional block 1 made of ceramic or cement mortar is applicable for armoring of a building.

[29]

[30]

Industrial Applicability

[31] As described above, in the multi-purpose sectional block 1 according to the present invention, the blocks laid on other blocks 2 are firmly fixed by the bolts 3. The present invention is inexpensive since it is simple in structure, allows the user to easily make a partition, a wall, a simple structure shelf and so on due to its excellent assembly efficiency, and can be used as armoring material since it provides excellent durability in a completely assembled state.
