Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing, based on a sheet-shaped substrate, a pearl pigment by enveloping a metal oxide, and an obtained pearl pigment. The present invention further relates to a method for preparing the pearl pigment by enveloping a sheet-shaped substrate, during the process of which a metallic salt is hydrolyzed under an acid condition, a pH value being adjusted by using an inorganic substance, such as MgO, MgOH, or CaCO3, which is insoluble in water but is dissolved by reacting with an acid. The method prevents generation of a metal oxide in a free state when the metallic salt is hydrolyzed, so as to save production costs, improve product quality, prevent a problem that possibly appears in an application process of a product, and make a production process more environmentally friendly.
