Abstract:
Disclosed is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber with high cut resistance. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber is formed by ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and inorganic super fine powder in a nanocrystalline structural form. The inorganic super fine powder is one or a combination of oxides, carbides and nitrides of aluminum, titanium, silicon, boron and zirconium, the mean radius of the inorganic super fine powder is 0.1 μm to 300 μm, and the content of the inorganic super fine powder accounts for 0.1% to 14% of the total fiber weight. Also disclosed is a preparation method for the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber with high cut resistance. Selected nanocrystalline-phase silicon carbide particles are put into a solvent and ground repeatedly by a sander; ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and silicon carbide nanoparticles are put into the solvent, sheared and stirred at a high speed by an emulsifying machine and uniformly mixed to obtain a spinning solution; and a common gel spinning method is adopted for the spinning solution, and gel yarn obtained by spinning is subjected to extraction and hot stretching to obtain composite fiber. In the present invention, nanocrystalline super fine particles are introduced into ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, so that the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene/nanocrystalline super fine particle composite fiber has excellent cut resistance.
