Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a preparation method for an olefin epoxidation catalyst and applications thereof. The method comprises: loading a olefin epoxidation catalyst onto a silica gel carrier by using a metal salt, and carrying out drying treatment of the silica gel carrier; loading a titanium salt (preferably TiCl4) onto the silica gel carrier by means of a chemical vapor deposition method; carrying roasting to obtain the silica gel for loading an assistant metal oxide and Ti species; obtaining an catalyst precursor (Ti-MeO-SiO2 compound oxide) by means of steam washing; loading silicate alkyl ester (preferably tetraethyl orthosilicate) onto the surface of a catalyst precursor by means of the chemical vapor deposition method, and roasting the silicate alkyl ester (preferably tetraethyl orthosilicate), so as to obtain a TTi-MeO-SiO2 compound oxide with a surface cladding layer SiO2; and carrying out silanization treatment to obtain the catalyst. The catalyst can be applied to a chemical process in which epoxy propane is prepared by means of propylene epoxidation. The average selectivity of the PO reaches 96.7%, and the method and the applications thereof have industrial application prospects.
