Abstract:
The present invention relates to a preparation method for a tungsten/gadolinium oxide PU coating fabric with a core-shell structure for X and γ rays protection. The method comprises the steps of formulating a dopamine salt solution, adding a buffer solution to adjust the pH value, then adding tungsten powder, followed by stirring, filtering, washing and drying to obtain W@PDA; adding the resulting W@PDA to a gadolinium nitrate solution, followed by stirring, filtering, and calcining at a high temperature to obtain a W@Gd2O3 powder with a core-shell structure; and adding the W@Gd2O3 powder to dimethylacetamide, then adding a certain amount of polyurethane resin adhesive, uniformly stirring same, and coating and drying the fabric. In the present invention, W@PDA is firstly prepared; since PDA has an extraordinary adhesion on the surfaces of different substances; after being coated with tungsten, the surface of PDA also contains a large number of polar groups, such as phenolic hydroxyl groups and amino groups, which provide abundant active sites for complexing Gd+, and results in a nitrogen-doped carbon layer by high-temperature calcination. Compared with the physical blending method with a single metal, the core-shell structure can have a synergistic protection in radiation protection, and effectively absorb secondary radiation generated by radiation while eliminating a weak protection zone. The PU resin coated fabric has relatively good wearability and mechanical properties, and the W@Gd2O3 powder has a good dispersibility in the PU resin, such that the final protective performance of the coated fabric is better.
