Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of water-soluble chlorinated polypropylene. Disclosed in particular is a preparation method for a solvent-free self-emulsifying water-soluble chlorinated polypropylene. The method comprises: uniformly mixing chlorinated polypropylene, an acrylic acid/ester mixture and a cosolvent, initiating the chlorinated polypropylene by using an initiator to generate free radicals, and further initiating free radical polymerization of the acrylic acid/ester mixture, then adding an isocyanate-carboxyl-terminated hyperbranched polyester adduct, reacting, then performing amine neutralization, emulsifying and diluting with deionized water to then obtain solvent-free self-emulsifying water-soluble chlorinated polypropylene having a solid content of 30-45%. The process of the present invention is simple and easy to industrialize, and the product has advantages such as low VOC content, the absence of organic solvents, water dilutability, and excellent stability, and is expected to find a broad range of applications in fields such as water-soluble coatings, non-polar or weakly-polar plastic surface modification, and the like.
