Abstract:
A prepreg which comprises carbon fibers and a matrix resin including a polyetherimide resin (A) having repeating units represented by general formula (a), wherein the matrix resin satisfies requirement (1). Requirement (1): To have a tensile elongation retention of 15-90%, which is obtained by: determining the TD tensile elongation at break (T1) of a film obtained by extrusion-forming the matrix resin into a film shape; immersing said film in a specific oil at 23°C for 1,000 hours and thereafter determining the TD tensile elongation at break (T2); and making a calculation using equation (1). Equation (1): Tensile elongation retention = [(tensile elongation at break (T2))/(tensile elongation at break (T1))]×100 (In formula (a), m is a number of 5-1,500.)
