Abstract:
Provided is a press forming method for forming a press formed part in the shape of a product with a hat–shaped cross-section having a top part curved convexly in the direction of forming height and vertical wall parts, with the curvature of the top part having a radius of curvature of the product shape, and with a wrinkle arising in a flange portion when the vertical wall parts are formed as longitudinal line lengths for the product shape, without changing the radius of curvature of the product shape for the radius of curvature of the convexly curved top part, wherein the method is characterized: by being provided with a vertical wall forming step of forming the vertical walls having a concave curved part with a radius of curvature of 5000 mm or greater curved concavely to the inside in the direction of width along the longitudinal direction in a plane view; and in that in the vertical wall forming step, the longitudinal line length of the vertical wall parts is increased by 0.0002 – 0.0263% compared with the longitudinal line length of the product shape.
