Abstract:
A press-type safety blood lancet comprises an outer shell (10), a spring component (20) and a needle body (30). The spring component (20) and needle body (30) are inserted respectively at either end of the shell (10). A flat-head projection (31) at the top end of the needle body (30) fits into a slot at the bottom end of the spring component (20), thus combining the spring component (20) and needle body (30) as a single entity. Outer guide grooves (11) and inner guide grooves (12) are provided on both sides of the shell (10), while outer guide rails (21) and inner guide rails (22) are provided on both sides of the spring component (20). The double rail and groove design provides for smooth movement of the needle body (30) thus helping reduce pain during blood sampling. The downward pressure required for blood sampling effectively prevents handling errors. The present blood lancet features a simple structure, low costs and ease of operation.
