Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to pressure filters, and more particularly to horizontal plate pressure filters, in which filter chambers are formed between horizontally extending superimposed filter plates. Such filters are also known as tower presses. A displacement sensor is provided to measure the displacement of a lower pressing plate before, during and after pressurisation of the filter chambers. If the change in displacement during or after pressurisation exceeds a threshold, an alarm or notification is provided.
