Abstract:

A pressure regulator assembly (100) for an SCBA including a valve assembly (102) having a piston (34), a cylinder (36) configured to receive the piston (34), a sealing member (35) configured for engagement by the piston (34), a conduit (241) extending through the piston (34) and facilitating fluid communication between an inlet chamber (110) and a cavity (104) of the cylinder, and a driving assembly (108) configured to facilitate the engagement and disengagement of the piston (34) responsive to a change of pressure in the outlet chamber (112). A bypass assembly (120) for an SCBA is also disclosed.
