Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive that can form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that, prior to exposure to active-energy radiation, exhibits a good wet-spreadability for adherends, has a good removability that enables re-application to adherends, and at the same time can be applied with a peel strength that prevents facile peeling from adherends; and that, after exposure to active-energy radiation, has an effectively reduced peel strength and can be readily peeled from adherends. A pressure-sensitive adhesive according to the present invention comprises: a (meth)acryloyl group-free hydroxy group-terminated urethane prepolymer (UPH), which is the reaction product of at least one polyisocyanate (N) with at least one active hydrogen group-containing compound (HX) that has a plurality of active hydrogen groups in each molecule; a polyfunctional isocyanate compound (I); and a radical-polymerizable monomer (MX) that contains at least three (meth)acryloyl groups in each molecule. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (12) comprising the cured product of the pressure-sensitive adhesive according to the present invention undergoes a decline in peel strength upon irradiation with active-energy radiation.
