Abstract:
In the present invention, a primer composition contains a resin emulsion, an aggregation accelerator, a surfactant, and water, the surfactant containing one or more surfactants (A) selected from the group consisting of acetylene-based surfactants and silicone-based surfactants, and a nonionic surfactant (B) other than the surfactant (A), the nonionic surfactant (B) having an HLB value of 10 or above and below 15.5 and having a plurality of polyoxyalkylene groups in the molecule, and the proportion of the nonionic surfactant (B) in the primer composition being 3 mass% or below. The primer composition has excellent storage stability and makes it possible to form a primer layer that has excellent transparency and that produces excellent bleeding resistance and printability when a solid image is printed by an aqueous inkjet ink composition.
