Abstract:
A primer composition comprising (I) a modified copolymer obtained by causing an olefin (co)polymer or the like to add polar groups represented by the following formula (1) or (2) in an amount of from 1x10?-3¿ to 250x10?-3¿ mol per 100 g of the modified polymer and (II) an organic solvent: (2) wherein R?1¿ is hydrogen or C¿1-6? alkyl; R?2¿ is C¿1-6? alkylene; and n is an integer of 1 to 20. The composition enables various materials (coating compositions and adhesives) to tenaciously adhere to substrates (materials to be coated) such as molded polyolefins or steel sheets. It is excellent in storage stability and suitability for pigment loading.
