Abstract:
In order to provide a printer driver, application software, printing system, and recording medium in which it is possible to identify the tape color or ink ribbon color in all tape cassettes that can be attached to a label printer, a printer driver for a label printer has an information block (IB) as a combination of width information (data of the paper width (D1)) of a tape in a tape cassette, color information (data of the paper color (D2)) of the tape in the tape cassette, color information (data of the ink color (D3)) of an ink ribbon in the tape cassette, and other information for an identification number (ID) of the tape cassette, and such an information block (IB) is provided for all tape cassettes that can be attached to the label printer.
