Abstract:
A printer (1) using a cassette-type ink ribbon, in which a paper discharge opening (8) doubles as an ink ribbon insertion opening. A paper cutter (11) is disposed at a position at which a paper discharge course is limited. A part of the upper surface of a head cover (9) is once raised, and from there a slope (10) is extended toward a printing gap. The slope (10) functions as a ribbon guide surface.
