Abstract:
A printer according to an embodiment comprises: an accommodation part that accommodates a roll body on which a band-shaped printing medium is wound; a restriction part that is provided in the accommodation part and provided with a contact surface that restricts movements in a width direction of the roll body accommodated in the accommodation part and the band-shaped printing medium fed out from the roll body; and a damper which is arranged at a position facing a surface of the printing medium fed out from the roll body and the contact surface, and which absorbs fluctuations in the tension of the printing medium.
