Abstract:

One aspect of the present invention resides in a printer comprising: a main body case which has a printer mounting surface and in which an accommodation chamber that accommodates a roll body of a wound strip-shaped print medium is formed; a printer cover for opening and closing the accommodation chamber; a platen roller that is attached to the printer cover and conveys a strip-shaped print medium pulled out from the roll body; and a hinge that has a hinge shaft and connects the main body case and the printer cover so that the printer cover can swing around the hinge shaft with respect to the main body case. The printer cover has an upper surface portion and an inclined surface portion provided between the hinge shaft and the upper surface portion and inclined with respect to the mounting surface. When the height from the mounting surface to the hinge shaft is denoted by H1 and the height from the hinge shaft to the highest position on the upper surface portion from the mounting surface is H2, H1 < H2.
