Abstract:

A printing controller used for printing a character string made up of characters and symbols on labels arrayed on a printing medium having a long tape shape in the longitudinal direction of the medium. The printing controller comprises character string storage means for storing a character string to be printed, breakpoint detecting means for detecting a breakpoint in the stored characteristic storing under a delimiting condition which is a specific character string arrangement condition, and a character string separating means for separating the stored character string into characteristic string segments delimited at the detected breakpoints so as to print the character string segments on the respective labels on the printing medium.
