Abstract:
Provided are a printing device and a printing method capable of suppressing voids even in a printing material having high viscosity and ensuring printing having excellent quality, when stencil printing is performed under reduced pressure. Specifically, the present invention provides a printing device and a printing method, the printing device comprising: a printing material supply means for supplying a printing material to a non-printing area on a stencil; a forward squeegee for performing printing on a forward path; a backward squeegee for performing printing on a backward path; a vacuum chamber for housing the printing material supply means, the forward squeegee, and the backward squeegee; a vacuum evacuation means for reducing the pressure in the vacuum chamber; and a control unit for controlling the printing material supply means, the forward squeegee, the backward squeegee, and the vacuum evacuation means, wherein the control unit performs control such that the forward squeegee and the backward squeegee make reciprocating movement in a forward direction and a backward direction in the non-printing area on the stencil.
