Abstract:
In addition to providing a mask ID code (24) representing identification information (called "mask ID" below) for a printing mask (13) on the lower surface of the printing mask (13), a printing mask-specific information database, which is mask IDs associated in database form with specific information for multiple printing masks (13) that can be used in a printing machine, is stored in a storage device. With each exchange of printing masks (13), the mask ID code (24) on the lower surface of the printing mask (13) is photographed with a camera (21), the image taken is image-processed to identify the mask ID, the printing mask-specific information database of the storage device is searched, the specific information for the printing mask (13) corresponding to the mask ID is read-in, and a prescribed processing is performed on the basis of the specific information for said printing mask (13). The prescribed processing here is, for example, correcting the printing position according to the specific information to prevent deviation of printing when a correction amount for the printing position is contained in the specific information for the printing mask (13).
