This printing method for a planographic printing plate original plate comprises: a step of preparing a planographic printing plate original plate for on-machine development, the planographic printing plate original plate including an exposure part based on imagewise exposure and a non-exposure part and having a color difference ∆E of two or more and eight or less, as calculated according to the following formula, in the L*a*b color space between the exposure part and the non-exposure part; an imaging step of converting first information including the exposure part and the non-exposure part into first electronic information; a processing step of converting the first electronic information into second electronic information; and a printing step of printing second information on the planographic printing plate original plate on the basis of the second electronic information. (Formula): ∆E = ((L2* - L1*)2 + (a2* - a1*)2 + (b1* - b2*)2)1/2 where L1*, a1*, and b1* represent values of the exposure part, and L2*, a2*, and b2* represent values of the non-exposure part.
