Abstract:
A printing sheet (1) comprising a substrate sheet (5) and an inorganic-hardened-substance layer (3) laminated on the surface of the substrate sheet (5), a surface (3a) of the inorganic-hardened-substance layer (3) being the printing surface; wherein the printing sheet is characterized in that, on an electron micrograph of 100-fold magnification, the printing surface is a surface in which a continuous, flat surface and projections of indeterminate form surrounded by the flat surface are intermixed, the projections being present in a ratio of 10 to 30% per unit area, and 50 to 300 projections having a major axis length of 10 to 300 µm being observed per square millimeter. With this printing sheet, fibers are effectively prevented from adhering to and remaining on the surface of the imprinted inorganic hardened-substance layer, and a printed image having fine image quality without any smearing can be formed.
