Abstract:
An industrial process for recovering and purifying 2-acetylthio-3-phenylpropionic acid, particularly optically active one, in the form of free acid. 2-Acetylthio-3-phenylpropionic acid is recovered and purified in the form of crystals of free acid by using an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent and/or an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent.
