Abstract:
In making a cap (20) for a button fastener (10), an outer layer (20A) made of copper or a copper alloy and an inner layer (20B) made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy are laminated, and the obtained laminate is formed into the shape of the cap (20) nearly simultaneously with the formation of a protrusion (23a) which protrudes on the outer surface side of the first layer (20A). Then, the part of the first layer (20A) that corresponds to the protrusion (23a) is ground, whereby the part of the second layer (20B) that corresponds to the protrusion (23a) is exposed as a design (23).
