Title:
PROCESS FOR OBTAINING PETROLEUM OILS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1995/005435
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Petroleum oils are obtained by vacuum distillation of fuel oil and subsequent purification, with solvents, of the fraction which boils off at above 490 C to obtain a refined residue. The said refined residue is divided into two portions preferably in a weight ratio of 30:70 to 70:30 as appropriate. The first portion undergoes deparaffination with selective solvents to produce a component consisting of residual deparaffined oil and petrolatum. The petrolatum obtained is mixed with the second portion of the refined residue and subjected to catalytic hydrodeparaffination, the hydrodeparaffined product thus obtained being subsequently fractionated. The residual oil fraction obtained is mixed with the residual deparaffined oil component.
