Abstract:
A process for the preparation of optically active 1-arylalkylamines represented by general formula (4), (wherein R?1¿ is C¿2?-C¿6? lower alkyl; R?2¿ and R?3¿ are each independently hydrogen, halogeno, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, with the proviso that when R?2¿ and R?3¿ are adjacent to each other, R?2¿ and R?3¿ may be joined at their ends to form methylenedioxy or ethylenedioxy; and a represents R- or S-configuration) by using an optically active $g(a)-isopropylphenylacetic acid represented by general formula (2), (wherein X is hydrogen, halogeno or lower alkoxy; and b represents R- or S-configuration).
