Abstract:
A process for preparing prostaglandin D2's in good yields, which comprises treating 7-hydroxyPGF2alpha's with thiocarbonylimidazole or an analogue thereof, subjecting the product to deoxidation of the hydroxy group in position 7, conversion of the protective group for the hydroxy group, and oxidation of the hydroxy group in position 11.
