Abstract:
A technology for producing biocoke from biomass as a raw material, especially
a process for producing biocoke that realizes efficient production of biocoke
usable as a substitute fuel for coal coke and a product thereof. The process includes
the divided charging step of carrying out divided charging of a biomass pulverizate
(10) into a reaction vessel (1) multiple times and the preliminary pressurization
step of at every divided charging, carrying out preliminary pressurization
of the dividedly charged matter with a partition thin layer (4) disposed on the
surface of the dividedly charged matter under a pressure not higher than given
pressure range. Pressure molding of the laminate composed of multiple dividedly
charged matters and partition thin layers (4) alternately superimposed one
upon another by repetition of the divided charging step and preliminary pressurization
step is carried out while maintaining the pressure range and temperature range
for inducing a pyrolytic or thermal curing reaction of hemicellulose thereof
without complete carbonization.
