Abstract:
A process for producing a graft copolymer latex which comprises graft-polymerizing a graft-polymerizable monomer with a rubber latex to produce the graft copolymer latex without lowering productivity. In removing unreacted monomers from the rubber latex to be subjected to the graft polymerization, an electrolyte is added to the latex to inhibit it from foaming. Thus, the unreacted monomers are removed in a short time and a graft copolymer latex is produced without lowering productivity.
