Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for efficiently producing an optically active 6-(3-aminopiperidin-1-yl)-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine derivative.
1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridine-3-carboxamide or a derivative thereof is asymmetrically reduced in the presence of a catalyst to obtain an optically active piperidine-3-carboxamide or an optically active derivative thereof, each of which is used as an intermediate.
