Abstract:
A process for producing menaquinone-4, which is characterized by culturing a microorganism having an increased dehydroxynaphthoate prenyltransferase activity compared with that of a wild-type one in a culture medium to produce and accumulate menaquinone-4 in a culture and collecting menaquinone-4 from the culture.
