Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a process which is for producing a (meth)acryloyl-terminated polyisobutylene-based polymer having excellent transparency and which is an easy process applicable to actual production processes. The process for producing a (meth)acryloyl-terminated polyisobutylene-based polymer is characterized by comprising: a living cationic polymerization step in which a Lewis acid catalyst is used; a terminal-functional-group formation step in which a Lewis acid catalyst is used; a step in which the Lewis acid catalysts are deactivated with 30-80ºC water; and a step in which the reaction mixture is cleaned with an aqueous alkali solution.
