Abstract:
A process for producing an oxide catalyst containing Mo, V, Sb, and Nb, the process comprising: a raw-material preparation step comprising a substep (I) for preparing an aqueous liquid mixture (A) containing Mo, V, and Sb, a substep (II) for adding hydrogen peroxide to the aqueous liquid mixture (A) to accelerate the oxidation of the aqueous liquid mixture (A) and obtain an aqueous liquid mixture (A'), and a substep (III) for mixing the aqueous liquid mixture (A') with an Nb source liquid (B) to obtain an aqueous liquid mixture (C); a drying step in which the aqueous liquid mixture (C) is dried to obtain a dry powder; and a burning step in which the dry powder is burned in an inert gas atmosphere. The time period from the addition of the hydrogen peroxide to the aqueous liquid mixture (A) to the mixing with the Nb source liquid (B) is less than 5 minutes. The aqueous liquid mixture (A') before being subjected to the substep (III) has an oxidation-reduction potential of 150-350 mV.
