Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for producing a high-purity aromatic sulfonyl chloride compound readily, on an industrial scale, and with high efficiency.
A reaction product produced by reacting sulfuryl chloride, N,N-dimethylformamide and sulfuric acid with one another is reacted with an aromatic heterocyclic compound or an aromatic hydrocarbon compound having an electron-donating group. In this manner, an aromatic sulfonyl chloride compound can be produced readily, with high purity, on an industrial scale, and with high efficiency.
